A debriefing programme tailored to your story and situation. No mission assignment or life story is the same. That is why we offer different forms of debriefing for individuals, couples, families and young people. Each programme is tailored to your story, your situation and what you need at this point in your journey. Together, we consider which programme best suits you. This gives you the space to reflect on what you have experienced, what matters for the next season of your life, and the path ahead.
Your story deserves the time and space to be heard.
During a personal debriefing, the focus is on you. Together with an experienced debriefer, you reflect on what you have been through, what has affected and shaped you, and which experiences may still need attention. There is space for positive memories as well as for losses, disappointments and difficult experiences. We tailor the programme to your situation. You can take part individually or together with your partner. Sessions can be spread over several weeks, combined into an intensive week, or take place online. It is also possible to have one or two sessions focusing on a specific situation or experience. Together, we consider which form of debriefing best suits you or both of you.
Every family member has their own story, and together you share a family story.
A mission assignment or life between different cultures is experienced differently by each member of the family. During a family debriefing, there is space for both parents and children to share their stories. What was positive? What was difficult? What have you left behind, learned and carried with you? Through conversations and creative, interactive activities adapted to the children’s ages, we give each family member space to explore and share their experiences. At the same time, you discover how each of you may have experienced the same season in a different way. This creates space for processing, recognition and a deeper understanding of each other’s stories.
Making space for your story while moving through the beauty of nature.
During an Outdoor Debriefing, we combine personal debriefing with spending time outdoors in the mountains and natural surroundings of France. Walking and moments of silence are combined with conversations and creative or symbolic activities tailored to you and your story. By engaging not only mentally and emotionally, but also physically, experiences can surface in different ways, creating space for deeper reflection. An Outdoor Debriefing is available for individuals, couples, families and teams. A basic level of fitness that allows you to walk for several hours is required. Time away from your everyday environment to pause and reflect, both literally and figuratively, on the journey you have travelled.
Your story of growing up between cultures deserves a place.
Are you between 18 and 26 years old and did you spend part of your childhood living abroad with your parents? If so, you carry a unique backpack with you. It may be filled with wonderful memories and meaningful encounters, but perhaps also with many goodbyes, changes, losses, or questions about where you belong. During Unpacking Your Backpack, you will meet other young people who understand what it is like to live between cultures. Through personal conversations, creative activities, time together and relaxation, we unpack that backpack together. There is also space to reflect on faith and the place of Jesus in your story. A weekend of recognition, reflection and connection with others who understand what it means to grow up between different worlds.
A week of reflection and connection.
Sometimes it helps to intentionally step away from everyday life and set aside time for your story.
During the Debriefing retreat, you will reflect with experienced debriefers on a season of missionary or crosscultural life and work.
There is space for both positive and difficult experiences, changes, losses and blessings. How has this season affected you?
What has shaped you, and what do you want to carry forward?
Alongside personal guidance, there is time for rest, connecting with other participants, reflection and time with God.
A week to pause, reflect and move forward with new insights and confidence.
Sometimes what you have been through needs dedicated time and attention.
An unexpected event, crisis, conflict or other distressing experience can have a significant impact. During this debriefing, we intentionally take time to reflect on what happened, how you or those involved experienced it, and the impact it has had. The support is tailored to the situation, the people involved and what is needed at that time. A debriefing crisis programme usually lasts three to five days and can take place individually, as a couple or as a team. There is space to put experiences into words and explore what may help you move forward. After a distressing experience, you don’t have to move on straight away; there can first be space for what has happened.
